Everybody has their preference when it comes to how they train. Some like traditional strength training with longer rest periods while others want to get after it, break a good sweat and move through their workout at a quicker pace. If you fall under the latter category, this program is for you. Set your timer and lock in!
What equipment you will need
- Dumbbells/kettlebells
- An adjustable bench
- Pull-up bar
- A barbell
Amount of time you will need for each workout
- Time will vary depending on the workout you choose.
Longevity of workout program
- There are five workouts. Each workout has four weeks of training progression. These are not necessarily meant to be completed in four weeks!
Level of difficulty
- Beginner. The bodyweight circuits are much more straightforward than the weight room circuits, but even the weight room circuits are a good option for those who may not have a lot of weight room experience under their belt.
Recommended use of program (in-season, off-season, etc.)
- For current competitive athletes, these would be a great option to use early in the offseason as part of your “general prep” phase. Lots of volume (comparatively speaking) with not a lot of rest. Definitely a great way to get back into basic movement patterns.
- For those who work out consistently to lead a healthy lifestyle, some of these options are great for if you are short on time or even if you are trying to work out while you’re traveling.
