The program that inspired all of this. Life as a parent is hectic, busy, demanding and expensive. While there’s nothing more gratifying and wonderful than raising a kid or two or five, it’s no secret that one of the first things to take a hit when you become a parent is your “me time”. However, despite everything that you have going on, it’s important to prioritize your physical and mental health as best you can. With these programs, it's my goal to give you an effective (and inexpensive) option to stay active amidst the chaos.

What equipment you will need

  • Dumbbells
  • An adjustable bench

Amount of time you will need for each workout

  • 30-45 minutes

Longevity of workout program

  • There are three 4-week programs with four full-body workouts each week. Do not feel pressure to do this program in that exact amount of time. A couple of the workouts are written out as circuits, so you have the flexibility to choose between a range of reps for each exercise, as well as how many rounds you have time for each day. These may turn into a 6-week or 8-week programs as life happens, and that’s okay!

Level of difficulty

  • Beginner (This is a basic but effective option for anyone and everyone, even if you’re not a parent!)

Recommended use of program (in-season, off-season, etc.)

  • For current competitive athletes, these could serve as great off-season options if you feel the desire to move around on a weekend or a day off from practice/training.
  • For those who work out consistently to lead a healthy lifestyle, these are great for those who are short on time and want to get their heart rate up.
